Come and take a timeless journey through the soul of the finest rums in the world.

The Appleton Estate has been blending rums since 1749 and the Rum Distillery is sited beside the Black River in one of the most beautiful valleys in Jamaica, south of Montego Bay.

You can savior these award-winning rums after you tour the distillery and learn the details of the distilling process from sugarcane, molasses, sugar, to wine and rum.

There is a Bar, Gift Shop, souvenirs and snacks at the Estate.

This little guy will show you how the cane is crushed and the juices from the cane is then used for the rum. He no longer does all the work, that is now done by machines but long ago that is how the rum was produced.

These are the barrels in the Aging Room, and they are store here until they are ready to be put in the bottles for sale.

We were told during the tour that the employees are really not allowed in here because after a few hours, your body will adsorb the fumes from the barrels and you can become drunk.
